ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
Where Translational Science Meets Clinical Practice
The Translational Advanced Medical (TAM) Center is a next-generation medical campus designed from the ground up for the convergence of research and patient care. Located in the Jardines del Sol neighborhood of Playas de Tijuana, the facility brings laboratory-grade infrastructure into direct alignment with clinical treatment — a model rarely achieved outside major academic medical centers.
The campus houses an ISO-7 certified cGMP cellular manufacturing laboratory, meeting the same international sterility and production standards required for clinical-grade cell therapies. This on-site capability eliminates the delays and handling risks of off-site processing, keeping scientific protocols tightly integrated with patient timelines.
With 50 inpatient beds, bilingual staff, and a location minutes from the US border, TAM Center is built for the international patient — combining the scientific depth of a research institute with the accessibility of a destination medical facility.
Built for the International Patient
Situated in Playas de Tijuana just 20 minutes from the San Diego border, the campus was designed with cross-border access in mind. Bilingual staff, streamlined logistics, and proximity to major US airports make international care coordination straightforward.
Research-to-Bedside Infrastructure
TAM Center bridges the gap between laboratory science and clinical application — a translational model that keeps research protocols in direct dialogue with patient outcomes. The facility functions as a living ecosystem, not just a treatment site.
Clinical-Grade Manufacturing
TAM Center’s ISO-7 cGMP cellular laboratory meets international standards for sterile, clinical-grade production. Having manufacturing on the same campus as treatment removes processing delays and preserves sample integrity throughout care.
Comprehensive Inpatient Capacity
With 50 beds on campus, TAM Center supports extended treatment programs that require residential stays. Patients undergoing multi-day or multi-week protocols have full inpatient support without leaving the clinical environment.
